MU1210: Introduction to Real-Time Systems

This course provides an introduction to interactive computer music composition, programming and performance. The fundamentals of interactive composition, including real-time DSP, event scheduling, algorithmic generation, machine listening and the use of alternate controllers are studied alongside current repertoire using these techniques. Weekly programming assignments culminate in an original midterm and final composition.
